2008 in review

Ok, so I have been out of commision for a while. But in my defense I have 2 birthdays, an anniversary, and Christmas within 2 weeks of one another and you can add in New Years, and another 2 birthdays if you stretch it out another two weeks into January. Super fun=bad blogger. But I wanted to post a few of my favorites from the holidays. I also wanted to thank, from the bottom of my heart, all my 2008 clients. It's the best to get to do something that I love so much. And I just want to thank you!!! Here's to a fantabulous 2009.

These are the Rigtrup boys. A family I can relate to. I only hope my boys grow up as cute as these guys. The ice only got the best of us a couple of times right guys?

This is my sister in laws niece. Isn't she a doll? Her daddy is in the military deployed in Africa. I don't think I could be so brave as to leave this sweet baby girl. It makes you truely appreciate the hero's of our country.

This is my niece with her cousin. they are 2 weeks apart. Doesn't it make you wonder what they are thinking. "hang on to me, these ladies are nuts!" Hailee's expression cracks me up.

Hi, thanks for coming!

Have you ever met someone that you were just unexplainably drawn to? Three weeks ago I met a photographer that changed my life, my whole way of thinking, and certainly the way I will approach every photo I create from now on. He was so genuine, like he didn't have any of the social walls that we put up as adults. He didn't have judgement in his eyes. And he treated me, in a sea of thousands of people, like I was the only person he cared about. And it touched me more deeply than anything has in a long time. I decided right then and there that I could never be the same. I would never be satisfied with "cheese" smile again. I care about people too much. I care about relationships too much. So my new goal as a photographer is to draw you out. The real you. The you without the walls that you put up for the rest of the world. Because the real you is beautiful! Whatever shape, size, color. People love the real you. I want to know you too! And I want to photograph the real you!
